Reading Buddy program

CHECSS has always been putting much emphasis on reading aloud. We believe that if students can read aloud words or paragraphs, they will have more confidence in using English in the campus.

This year, the reading aloud program has been extended to a reading buddy program, in which, S5 students will be paired up with S2 and S.4 students will be paired up with S.1. The “Big Brothers” will be reading aloud a passage to the junior form students and the same time the Big Brothers will also teach them how to read aloud. By pairing up students in different form, we are giving the students the responsibility to learn. When students understand their responsibility, they will progress better and realize what they need to improve on.
