"The Fire Practice" Drama

On 27 January, 4 senior students from CHECSS performed the drama “The Fire Practice” at Wong Tai Sin Fire Station's Open House. Our students enjoyed performing this drama in front of real firemen and general public!

The Fire Practice tells about a fire chief who is recruiting new fire fighters. Unfortunately, the new firefighters aren't very smart. The Chief has to keep his patience as he tries to train the new recruits. Finally there is a call to a fire. The recruits are ready to go. But the chief gets very upset and panics when he hears the fire is actually at his house!

Student's Comment

" I think it is a very good and invaluable opportunity to have a chance to perform in public. In the past, I used to perform in front of my schoolmates. Maybe I did not know all of them but with my school uniform on, I still felt calm. But this time the audience is someone I really do not know and I even have to use English to perform the drama.

At the very beginning I was worried that no one can listen to our English dialogue clearly and it would be very embarrassing to play a show which no one knows what it is about. At last my worries were relieved by the laughter from the audience.

To sum up, it was a precious time to have performed “The Fire Practice” at the fire station!I really recommend students to take advantage of any chance to perform using English in front of new faces . "
