Our school’s St John Ambulance Brigade Youth Command was invited to participate in the Hong Kong Youth Uniformed Groups Drill Training Day, organised by Hong Kong United Youth Association. The session focused on Chinese-style military drill, which serves to enhance students' sense of discipline, teamwork, and national identity.
Four cadets of Choi Hung Catholic Ambulance Cadet Division, Oscar Yu, Jimmy Chen, Daniel Leung, and Silas Chik, have proudly joined Chinese-style Drill Training series kick-started on 14 March 2026, officially conducted by the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Hong Kong Garrison, at Youth Development and National Education Base in Tsing Yi.
Our gratitude to the PLA Hong Kong Garrison for their dedicated instruction, providing our students with the golden opportunity to learn Chinese military drill at first hand. It was a real eye-opener to march with other youth uniformed groups in Hong Kong. Our cadets found it an incredibly rewarding experience, not only did it significantly bolster the sense of self-discipline but also foster a stronger spirit of teamwork. We are glad to have joined such a meaningful event to deepen the sense of national identity.
