Since 2013, our school has been participating in the annual Speech Festival held by the Hong Kong School Music and Speech Association. In December, our boys at 2A took home the 1st place after being encouraged to participate in the festival.
A lot of time and effort had been spent in the preparation for the competition. And by performing for many different school events, the boys earned not only applause from the audience, but also experience from each stage. With the support they gained, our boys surprised us with every performance.
The poem we have selected this year is called “The Three Foxes”. It is a poem that incorporates humor and wordplay, which brings smiles on everyone’s face.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to sharpen my speaking skills. I have never had a chance to embrace the language in such a joyful way,” said Jason Tang, one of the little foxes on the Choral Speaking team.
